Our Services
Here are the current suggested EFA rates for reference.
Line/Copyediting
Line and copyediting is combined as a single service. In addition to correcting errors in grammar, punctuation, and continuity, and checking for redundancy, I will also be suggesting revisions and rewrites at the sentence level in order to elevate your writing style, stay true to your (and your character’s) voice, and improve the flow of your scenes. I will look at each sentence from the POV of a reader and make sure clunkiness is changed to clarity. Where it is needed, light fact-checking will also be included.
Works of at least 20,000 words will be line-edited at a rate of $14 per 1000 words. Rush rates may apply depending on desired turnaround time.
Proofreading is the last line of defense before being published. After you’ve gone through developmental editing, line, and copyediting, the proofreader will make sure to clean up any typos or other mistakes that have been overlooked. Proofreading includes checking for errors in grammar, punctuation, continuity, and spelling.
Works of at least 20,000 words will be proofread at a rate of $8 per 1000 words. Rush rates may apply depending on desired turnaround time.

Shorter Work Editing
For any work shorter than 20,000 words, line/copyediting will be the default at a fixed price of $275. Rush rates may apply depending on desired turnaround time. Please let me know at the inquiry stage if you only want proofreading (note that the rate stays the same regardless).
*Rush rates will apply if a project needs to be completed more quickly than a typical contracted period. Please let me know at the inquiry stage if you need the job done quickly so I can give you an accurate custom quote!
